Daniel Lak spent twelve years in South Asia for the BBC, four each in India, Pakistan and Nepal. He currently lives in Toronto and works as a roving film maker, journalist and writer. His work has appeared in the Economist, Time, Outlook, the Independent, the Mail on Sunday and the Globe and Mail. He is a regular columnist for the Nepali Times.
