Sujit Saraf was born in Bihar, went to school in Darjeeling and Delhi, received an engineering degree from IIT, Delhi, and a Ph.D. from Berkeley. Formerly a NASA research scientist, he now works for Lockheed Martin. Sujit runs a theatre group in the San Francisco area, for which he writes and direct plays (some in Hindi) and has also produced and directed independent feature films. His first novel The Peacock Throne has been shortlisted for the Encore Prize.
